Beyond Red Eyes was one of the first songs we wrote together back when we were Hell Forged Hands (2005-2008). Once we decided to record, mix, and produce our own material, we thought it a good idea to do an updated version of one of our oldest songs together, as well as an Acoustic version.

The song itself is about the collapse of the Silver Bridge in Point Pleasant, WV on December 15th, 1967 where 46 people lost their lives. The official cause of the collapse was due to a defect in a single link which led to stress corrosion cracking and then the eventual collapse. Famously, there were reported sightings of the Mothman, strange Men in Black who were intimidating witnesses and reporters, and even a theory of a curse placed on the area by Native American Chief Cornstalk.
